PRIVATE RESIDENCE – SIMPLY MODERN
A modern minimalist style was simply stated in this unique Lake Michigan home through it is use of small aperture downlights and indirect uplighting. To keep the space pure as the architect and client envisioned, light needed to appear dramatic and from no visible source.
The spaces of the house were created with half-walls, making the home essentially one large space from above. Downlights were channeled into a ceiling groove along with other essential apertures. Uplights were hidden in the top of floating partition walls. A low-profile, low-voltage, two-circuit cable track system was used where other fixtures could not.
Glowing surfaces and dramatic pools resulted in a clean, simple and modern home with a sleek and stunning lighting design, and for a minimal cost.
