At the top of this immense 400’ flag pole is the world’s largest US flag in flight. Conventional schemes would spill too much light onto the wide pole, making it the focus and leaving much of the 120’x60’ flag dark when fully extended.
The solution was to aim the fixtures to either side of the pole, highlighting focus on the flag, and minimizing the pole. Modeling numerous fixtures, beam options and locations resulted in using 18 high power LED uplight spot luminaires, ground mounted for maintenance.
