Reinventing the local shopping scene, this specialty grocery store turned an abandoned big-box shell into a community hub, complete with rustic farm-style entrance. The lighting needed to be exceptional, highlighting the local produce and unique products which draws in clientele from around the city.
New departments were added, including a Co-Op Kitchen, plus a state-of-the-art receiving area to handle the special order department. Lighting mostly used LED to be sustainable and reduce building energy. Automated systems using touchscreen technology allows rapid adjustments to utilize daylight from several skylights. A lower-level offers educational space and flexible multi-purpose community room.
