Nature is integrated into this residence through interior landscapes and full height glass, carrying the outside environment into the house. The lighting design solidifies this theme by creating realistic natural lighting effects throughout the interior, becoming a study of the expressive qualities of organic light. Just as in nature, the hues of light change continuously over time, creating dynamic spaces to match the mood and function of the moment. As night falls, the whiter washes of light transform to the magentas and reds of dusk and then the pale blues of night.
The lighting in this house becomes suggestive of daylight peering through a veil of trees or moonlight illuminating a rocky landscape. Light, shadow and artful design dissolve the barrier between the natural landscape and the indoor living spaces, therefore following the needs and moods of the inhabitants.
